We are so excited that John & Sherry over at Young House Love were able to find a great swing arm lamp at our Decorating Outlet for John’s sister Emily’s nursery makeover! Check out the post here!

Thanks to Karen for emailing us photos of her newly renovated kitchen! We love how our Vortex Pendants really adds style to the space!

Here’s her letter…
Hi folks - this is long overdue, but our renovation finished as last and we finally got around to snapping some pics of the wonderful pendant lights that we got from the retail store last fall. Thought you all might get a kick out of seeing them in place. They are really stunning, just breathtakingly beautiful and everyone comments on them! Many thanks to all the folks who opened every last shade to let us pick our favorite two. Thanks again for all your great help!

Ada-Marie wrote a wonderful blog about purchasing fans for her nursery & guest room in our retail store! Check it out here. We couldn’t wait to see what they looked like in her home! Thanks so much for the pics Ada-Marie! The fans look incredible!

Adding a new lamp shade to an outdated, boring lamp that you already own is sometimes all it takes to reveal hidden potential! These days, it’s all about working with what you’ve got!
Our friend Emily was in the market for new lamps, but when she saw these brushed nickel lamp bases at a yard sale, she knew they had potential! With their simple silhouette and improperly fitted shades, they left much to be desired, but she snatched them up for $5 each and came running to us for help! Emily trusted our expertise and handed these sad little lamps over to us for an extreme makeover, Shades of Light style!

She ended up choosing the Black and White French Country Toile Drum Shade and we love the way that these black and white shades add graphic texture and contrast in her room! Here is the final result…eye candy! Thanks to Emily for allowing us to help her with her lamp makeover!

Bob Schultz, New York sent a great way to use our Colored Seeded Glass Pendant. He sent pictures and background on his weekend getaway where he positioned the pendants right in front of a window with a great view outside.

He also included a little background on the building materials and such below…

“My original Stuga was prefabricated in Sweden (in Sweden Stuga is a name for a bungalow) the carpenter came along with the Stuga parts and put it together on a mountain top in Kent, Connecticut. Since then we have added two more rooms (with Brian Wilson a local builder who can find and do everything with a taste level)… all with vintage barn wood, a wood cook stove, and quite a bit of coziness…
hi…you are a very nice company…i thank you.
Strange, i first saw the lights at the design district in Miami…expensive…you have the identical at a better price…
thank you. Bob
Molly and Lange Meem from Richmond VA sought out our design team to transform the home they moved into 10 years earlier & never got around to decorating. Before, this dining room lacked pop & the Meem’s were ready for a fresh new look. The room was full of hand-me-down furniture and white walls - it was time to update! The couple was a lot of fun to work with and chose pieces from our popular mirrored furniture collection to transform and make it appear larger. With a little space planning, paint, hip furnishings, as well as a new rug & chandelier, we transformed this underwhelming room into a fresh & inviting space.
